To reserve a kid we require a deposit of $75.  Balance is due within 2 weeks of birth notification.  Please make all payments payable to "Jessica Aller" and in the form of a money order or cashiers check (In the case of a farm pickup, cash is a wonderful alternative but please do not mail cash.) We do recommend that you submit a second choice as all orders are accepted on a "first come, first served" basis. There is no refund on cancelled orders.  Deposits are only refunded if the kid of your first or second choice is not born.

Shipments: Due to increased gas prices and added strain to our daily schedule, we will now be charging a $50 delivery fee to transport kid purchases under $500 to airport or pick up points.

We love to have the purchased animals picked up at the farm. This gives you the chance to see our herd and gives you the best perspective on picking out your animal.

Kids must be picked up or shipped by 4 weeks of age.  If arrangements are made for a kid to stay longer, a pre-paid daily care fee of $2 per day must be sent to us.  If no arrangement is made and boarding fee is not prepaid the buyer will forfeit his money and the animal will be either retained or sold.
We no longer have crates available for shipping kids.  Buyer's crate must either be shipped to us or at the buyers expense we can purchase a new crate at our local pet supply store.  Crate must be in our possession within two weeks of birth notification.

We have also used Edgar Ranch ground shipment for larger animals with excellent results.

Shipping and health certificate costs are solely the responsibility of the buyer!

Our bucks

If you are interested in semen from our bucks we are currently using Superior Semen Works as our processors.  Semen is available from us on Care to Dance & Buccaneer.
We also do live breeding with Advantage and Shakespeare. Breeding Fees on Advantage are $50 per doe.
Does must be in excellent health.

NEW Minimal space for boarding breeding does is at times available. Contact us for space availability. Cost is $2 per day for dry does and $4 per day for milkers.  If there are multiple does that you would like to breed here at our farm the rate is reduced in half: Dry does $1 per day/per doe, Milkers $2 per day/per doe. All grain and hay must be provided by owner. NEW

Our Herd Health

We are strict believers in a strong CAE Prevention plan.  But due to time saving measures we are modifying our policy in the following manner.  At your request, pre-ordered doe/buck kids, can be taken at birth and raised on heat treated colostrum and pasteurized whole goat milk.  Otherwise all kids will be raised on raw milk from our all  CAE NEGATIVE tested herd.  Kids are given CD&T and BoSe shots with in the first 2 weeks of life.  Boosters shots are given 3-4 weeks following.  All pregnant does are given CD&T and BoSe shots 4 weeks prior to their due date.
Keeping in mind that our herd has very little problem with worms we only give wormers twice a year.

Thank you for your interest in our herd.  The Hicklin family began raising LaManchas in 1990 with the purchase of our foundation doe "Twinkie".  Joyful-Morn was the founding herd name.  Jessica, their daughter, founded her own herd in 1998 and raises LaManchas under the herd name Celtic-Knot.  She still co-owns the Joyful-Morn animals and manages all publicity.
"Tombstone" was our founding herd sire with "Excel" being added in '97.  We also owned Tombstone's dam, "Snowfire".  Linebreeding on lines including Thunder-Road, Yazz, Winterwood, and of course our own, we have created what we consider to be a very correct, showy, and milky animal.
